"A year of joy" is dedicated to our sweet baby daughter, Lily Joy, who passed away this July, four hours after she was born. Each month of this calendar features a different scripture or song that was part of our journey with Lily. (See the full story below the description.) FULL STORY:

In March of 2025 I was 18 weeks pregnant with our third child. We received heartbreaking news that she would not live after being born, due to an amniotic band that had attached to her head causing extreme hydrocephalus. This began a long and heartbreaking journey that we would have never chosen to be on. We cried, prayed, were angry, and asked God “why.” We tried to soak up the time with our sweet girl while she was still living inside me. During the pregnancy we received a ton of support and prayers from friends, neighbors, family and strangers. God brought two separate women into my life who had walked this road just before me. Through their heartache, they were able to minister to me in a way no one else could. Together with their husbands, they offered advice and support to my husband and me. We are eternally grateful for the friendships we’ve received in these couples, through the short lives of our sweet children.

Our daughter, Lily Joy, was born in July 2025 and lived for a peaceful four hours before entering into the loving arms of Jesus. So many of our prayers for her were answered. Through our heartache, we hold fast to the knowledge that God is always good. Each month of this calendar features a different scripture or song that was part of our journey with Lily. The month of April is in honor of Gabriel Michael, born April 2025. And the month of May is in honor of Elizabeth Grace, born May 2024. Elizabeth and Gabe are the children of the two couples who were brought into our lives this year. I pray that you are blessed through the tiny lives of these sweet babies.
